LAST CALL for the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD 2024

Registrations for the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD 2024 are still possible until 7 February 2024. The best concepts that aim to solve the SDGs of the United Nations will be honored with a total of EUR 50,000 in prize money.

The iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD 2024 for students and graduates of all design and architecture courses will close its registration portal in a few days: concepts that meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations can be uploaded free of charge to ifdesign.com until 7 February 2024.
International design experts, who form the jury, will award the popular label, the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD 2024, as well as EUR 50,000 in prize money to the best concepts.
This time, all award winners will be honored in Milan/Italy: at the Museum Triennale de Milano, the heart of Italian design. The award-winning concepts will be shown in Valencia/Spain in September 2024 during the HABITAT furniture fair in the special exhibition NUDE (30 September to 3 October 2024).

The competition categories are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (1 - 15):

No Poverty / Zero Hunger / Good Health and Well-being / Quality Education / Gender Equality / Clean Water and Sanitation / Affordable and Clean Energy / Decent Work and Economic Growth / Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure / Reduced Inequalities / Sustainable Cities and Communities / Responsible Consumption and Production / Climate Action / Life Below Water / Life on Land

The jury process

The jury process takes place in two stages: In March 2024, all concepts will be evaluated by an international jury of experts in an Online Jury. The 300 best works will then qualify for the Final Jury, which will select the winners on 26 April 2024 in Berlin and award the prize money to the most outstanding concepts.

The Evaluation Criteria

In order to receive an iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD 2024, the concepts must achieve above-average marks in response to the following questions:

• Does it solve a problem?
• Does it reflect or promote high moral-ethical standards?
• Does it strengthen group relations?
• Does it create a positive experience?
• Does it make economic sense?
